India rejects possible G-8 resolution on external mediationIndia has made it clear to the G-8 countries, meeting in an emergency session in London on Friday, June 12, that it would not accept "any third party involvement of any nature whatsoever'' in its dialogue with Pakistan on Kashmir and other issues. In a strongly-worded statement on the eve of the meeting of foreign ministers of G-8 and other countries, an external affairs ministry statement said India expected a positive response to its initiatives in the field of nuclear disarmament and dialogue with Pakistan.
