Hegde hints at alliance with BJPLok Shakti president Ramakrishna Hegde says he will conduct a final round of talks on a poll alliance with both the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress in Delhi on Tuesday, January 6. He disclosed that he had discussions with both parties twice earlier. Before taking a final decision on January 9, he would meet top leaders of both parties again. The Lok Shakti's executive committee had authorised him to take a decision on the alliance, he added. He hinted that the Lok Shakti would in all probability align with the BJP. The former Karnataka chief minister also reiterated his January 8 deadline for Janata Dal ministers and legislators in the state to join his party. UNI |
