Zoramthanga sworn in as Mizoram CMA 15-member Mizo National Front-Mizo Peoples' Conference ministry headed by Zoramthanga was sworn in at a simple ceremony in Aizawl today. Mizoram Governor A Padmanabhan administered the oaths of office and secrecy to Zoramthanga and his ministerial colleagues, 10 of whom are of cabient rank and four ministers of state. Zoramthanga, president of the MNF, had earlier been elected as the leader of the United Legislature Party comprising members of both MNF and MPC after the combine registered a victory in the assembly polls. All the ministers took the oath in English. Outgoing chief minister Lalthanhawla, former speaker Vaivenga, former finance minister Sangzuala, former minister R L Valla and Rajya Sabha member Hiphei were among those present at the function. UNI
