'I don't have the patience to surf'

Rumours have always floated around Juhi Chawla. First, there were rumours about her marriage. Now, there are rumours that she is pregnant. The ebullient Juhi answers all such questions with her infectious smile, even as she quietly goes about her work -- be it acting, forming a production company (Dreamz Unlimited) or even launching a website (srkworld.com).

Juhi Chawla What is your specific role at srkworld.com?

Actually, I am more into the designing and content part of the website. I manage the content, as such. I must confess that I am not very net-savvy, so all I do is make suggestions and give ideas and then they are executed.

How do you 'manage content'?

I have transcribed all the content that we put together. First, we recorded lots of interviews and information; then, it was my job to put it all together in a presentable format. I also helped with the development of each section. Deciding what goes where, what looks good where, things like that...

What kind of designing did you do?

Juhi Chawla I did not do anything, per se. All I did was help visualise the look... say that this will look good this way, use these colours and so on. I have also designed some stuff for the site. Like there's a tee shirt designed by me -- it's nothing, really. I just drew a rough stick figure and put a statement under it. That was then superimposed on a tee shirt. But I must admit it was fun.

For someone who claims not to be net-savvy, what was the experience like?

It was interesting and fun and very different from anything I have ever done before. Actually, I quite enjoy it. But I just don't have the patience to sit and surf and stuff like that.

Which, of all the sections you worked on, was the one you enjoyed doing most?

The Funnies. It's the best. And it appeals to my sense of humour.
