Salman Khan has walked out of yet another film!

The film, directed by David Dhawan, costars Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. Salman Khan

The problem was simple -- Salman's demands were not being met. And this time, it wasn't one of the major starry tantrums he is famous for throwing. Salman was just asking for the overseas territory as his remuneration.

Now, with Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt in the film, the overseas rights will go at a much higher price than ever commanded. And producer Harish Sugandh felt that giving away the overseas rights was too heavy a price to pay as remuneration to Salman.

Anyway, the problem was discussed. When a solution could not be arrived at, Salman walked out and Ajay Devgan stepped into his shoes.

However, an insider squealed that Salman had been itching to get out of the film. Apparently, Salman will be starring opposite Aishwarya Rai in brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's directorial debut film.

Being all in the family, they want to keep the currently hot pair -- Ash-Salman -- exclusive for Atul's film. The unpleasantness occurred because it was only after he signed and negotiated the film with Harish Sugandh that the Atul Agnihotri film happened.

Pyar Tune Kya Kiya

Fatal Attraction... again!

Yet another version of the Hollywood hit Fatal Attraction. And the inspired? Ramgopal Varma. His Pyar Tune Kya Kiya directed by chief assistant Rajat Mukherjee, is modelled on the Hollywood film.

Ramgopal Varma certainly seems to be bereft of ideas. Why else would he produce this film?

But then, he had to launch a film with Urmila Matondkar and this was the only subject ready with him for a long time now. A few years ago, Varma had proposed to make this film with Anil Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar playing husband and wife, and Juhi Chawla as the other woman.

After the role developed (and it is said to have taken excellent shape, definitely that would fetch recognition if not awards to the actress cast in the role), it doesn't seem surprising that Varma couldn't think of anyone else but his protegee.

Akshay-Twinkle...secretly married?

Everyone is still surprised with the engagement announcement of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna.

But, squealed an insider, "Well, how long could they remain secretly married?"

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Yes, this close associate of Twinkle Khanna insists that Akshay and Twinkle have been secretly married for a long time now. Apparently, the fact that Akshay was considering renewing his relationship with Shilpa was what made Twinkle insecure. So she forced Akshay to marry her.

The wedding was kept a secret only because Akshay, who was banking heavily on Dharmesh Darshan's Dhadkan, felt that the news would hamper his image and thereby affect the fate of the film. Now that the fate of the film is decided the engagement was announced.

Incidentally, the Akshay-Twinkle engagement brought together a couple of people under one roof.

Rishi Kapoor, who had stayed away from the Kapadia household after the film, Saagar, due to the tiffs he had with Dimple, attended the function.

In fact, Sunny Deol attended it, too.

Sunny put up a brave front and congratulated the parents of the bride-to-be. Also present was Bobby Deol, who is said to be a close associate of Akshay Kumar.

And if all these people came together it is all thanks to the efforts of Akshay Kumar who made it a point to call up each of them personally, before of course, convincing his mother-in-law to be.

Needless to say, Rajesh Khanna was more than happy with Akshay's decision. After all, he got to show Sunny Deol who the real man of the house is!

Sonu Nigum

Sonu gears up for the silver screen

It has been on for a long time now -- Sonu Nigam's debut on silver screen.

The reason for the delay is not clear. Initially, it was because Sonu was gearing himself up for facing the camera.

He was not just working on honing his acting skills but on his physique, too, which meant that he was spending a lot of his time in the gym, developing the muscles so he could take off his shirt and do a Salman Khan.

But then all that was months ago. And one wonders what the delay is all about. Is it because he has not yet been able to develop the muscles or just that the acting skills have not yet been honed enough?

Whatever the case, Sonu needs to buck up before he is forgotten and loses his fan following.

Manoj Bajpai stars in Ajay Devgan's second home production

Ajay Devgan seems to have wisened up, considering that he has decided to launch another film under his home banner which will not star himself, but Manoj Bajpai opposite Sushmita Sen.

Now that Kajol has decided to pursue her plans of starting a family there definitely is no chance of getting her to star in the film. So Sushmita has filled in the slot very easily.

Ajay Devgan And adding Manoj Bajpai as the leading man has made the proposal a low budget one, which is what the Devguns need at the moment, until the fate of Raju Chacha is decided.

That leaves Ajay Devgan free to work in films for other producers so that he can bring in the moolah and pay off the debts.

Sonali replaces Madhuri

Now, it's Sonali Bendre who seems to have caught M F Husain's fancy.

Disillusioned by the way in which Madhuri Dixit treated him and stayed away from the premiere of his Gaja Gamini, Husain has moved his sights elsewhere.

Much as he might deny there is no rift, and that all is well with him and the Dixit gal, the fact remains that Madhuri does not even entertain his call.

Sources say that Madhuri with her newly wedded status does not want to be embarrassed by Husain's outpourings and eulogies.

Madhuri's loss is Sonali's gain and she has decided to make the most of it.
