Tata Tea directors leave Guwahati after questioningTata Tea Managing Director R K Krishna Kumar and Executive Director S M Kidwai on Monday left Guwahati as the state police completed this round of interrogation late on Sunday night. According to official sources, they left for Calcutta early on Monday morning in a special flight. They have been consistently maintaining that the Intelligence Bureau was kept posted about all the deals that Tata Tea made with the United Liberation Front of Asom both within and outside India. The police have again summoned Tata Tea General Manager S S Bosra, Deputy General Manager Mahabir Singh, and Manager K Sridhar for a further interrogation regarding the clandestine meeting with Bodo militants at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi on February 13 and 14. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta is at present camping in New Delhi to meet Prime Minister I K Gujral to apprise him of all the development regarding the state government's offensive against the ultras besides, the "simmering differences" with the Union home ministry.
