SC reserves orders on Tata Tea executives' bail

The Supreme Court today reserved its orders on special leave petitions by three top Tata Tea executives against the orders of the Guwahati high court rejecting their anticipatory bail plea. The case concerns Tata Tea's alleged funding of militants' activities in Assam.

The orders were reserved by a division bench comprising Justice M K Mukherjee and Justice K T Thomas on the conclusion of arguments from both sides.

The Tata Tea executives, whose anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the high court are Managing Director R K Krishna Kumar, executive director S Kidwai and consultant K Sridhar.
