Jaswant Singh is new FM; Sinha moves to MEA
Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha confirmed on Monday that he was moving to the ministry of external affairs as part of a government reshuffle.
Sinha had been expected to swap jobs with foreign minister Jaswant Singh in an overhaul of the government and of the ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party carried out on Monday by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
"Shifting me to foreign ministry is no comment on my work," Sinha told reporters after 13 new ministers and junior ministers were sworn in to the government.
