Market@May 23: Day's reportSoftware stocks opened weak and immediately came under strong selling pressure. However, during the last one hour, investment buying took place in a large number of software counters. Infosys, Himachal, Silverline and Wipro were the key stocks to show a smart recovery. But non-software stocks remained depressed. Overall, except the last one hour of trading, the trading volume remained thin. Sensex closed 16 points up at 3936. Nifty was down 3 points at 1230. The Sensex close was 100 points higher than the intra-day low and very close to the high. Satyam Computer, Infosys, Himachal, Zee Tele and Silverline topped the volume chart accounting for 51 per cent of the total traded volume on the BSE. Sensex
