Market@23 March: Day's reportSensex down 83 points at 5119, Nifty dips 37 points to 1553. Market opened strong but failed to sustain at higher levels. Software stocks showed mixed trend. While stocks like Wipro, HDFC, and TV 18 hit the upper circuit, Satyam Computers, Global Tele, SSI, and DSQ Software came under strong selling pressure. For sensex, the main contribution came from ITC, Infosys, HLL, and SBI, these counters showed a sharp fall. Pharma sector remained weak while cylicals moved sideways. Satyam Computers, Himachal Futuristic, DSQ Software, Global Tele, and Pentamedia topped the volume charts accounting for nearly 55 per cent of the total BSE turnover. Sensex
