Port workers' strike continues on Day FourThe port workers' strike was set to enter the fifth day on Saturday as the government and worker unions agreed more negotiations were needed to resolve the issue. "I have full faith we will find a solution by Saturday afternoon," Surface Transport Minister Raj Nath Singh said in New Delhi. A fresh round of talks are scheduled for Saturday morning. Thirty per cent of cargo movement at the 11 ports where the strike is on, was affected. Vessels carrying foodgrains, steel and fertilisers are stuck on high seas outside the ports. However, imports of crude oil and lubricants remain unaffected because they are not labour-intensive.
