Indian stocks gain in the US markets

After Tuesday's bloodbath on the NASDAQ, there was some respite as the NASDAQ closed 20 points higher.

But it was a good day for Indian stocks as all the four American depositary shares, or ADS, gained over Tuesday's close. In technology stocks, Infosys gained $ 28.75 to $ 197 and Satyam Infoway was up $ 6.12 to $ 48.

Though the Dow Jones fell 130.92 points, the two Indian issues there gained. Financial institution ICICI was up $ 3.38 to $ 19 and ICICI Bank gained $ 1.38 to $ 13.88.
