Summer business school for Bombay's studentsThe Syndicate of Professionals and Amateurs for Combined Enterprise, a non-profit educational organisation in Thane near Bombay, will organise a month-long business summer school for college-going students. The aim is help those aspiring for post-graduate careers in business administration, human resource development, finance, accountancy, marketing, advertising and public relations. The first-of-its-kind business summer school, to be held at Ruia College, Dadar, North Central Bombay, between May 16 and June 13, is based on the British education pattern. The programme has been designed to impart education on fundamentals in business organisation and business communication. The curriculum for the business organisation module is adapted from the University of London's legal exams. The pattern for business communication module is adopted from University of Cambridge's business English certification level syllabus. The programme has been designed keeping in mind students appearing for various civil service and competitive exams. It deals primarily with administration techniques and workplace activity. The larger objectives are enhancement of employment prospects for students and preparing the students for various entrance examinations. According to programme instructor, Nirankan Prakash, students who have completed secondary schooling are eligible for admission.
