Cabinet nods to A-I plan to reduce retirement age to 58The Union Cabinet today decided to allow Air-India to reduce its employee retirement age from 60 to 58 to enable the public sector carrier save Rs 876.4 million upto March, 2000. An official spokesperson said that the Cabinet decided to exempt Air-India from the order of department of public enterprises of the industry ministry dated May 19, 1999. The payment due to the retiring employees of the national carrier was around Rs 180 million. UNI
