P&G's Q3 net up at Rs 182 millionProcter and Gamble India posted a 45 per cent higher net profit of Rs 182.9 million during the quarter ended December 31, 1998 as against Rs 126 million in the corresponding period of last year. The company's sales also increased by six per cent to Rs 1.37 billion while the gross profit rose by 24 per cent to Rs 295.6 million during the quarter. Provision for taxation and depreciation were Rs 56 million and Rs 56.7 million respectively. The company markets several leading brands including Whisper sanitary napkins in feminine hygiene category, healthcare products and skincare and cosmetic products. UNI |
