Markets buoyant; Sensex up 58 points at 3367, Nifty up 26 points at 976The Bombay Stock Exchange opened on a buoyant note on Wednesday morning as speculators were active, pushing up several equities. Index-based shares surged several notches up on institutional support. As has been their wont, infotech scrips made handsome gains. Reports from the National Stock Exchange also indicated that trading was active on the opening day of the new settlement as operators displayed little hesitation while taking long positions. Noon-time reports said that at the BSE, the 30-share Sensex was up by 58 points at 3367 over Monday's close of 3309. At the NSE, the S&P CNX Nifty was up 26 points at 976. Sensex up 45 points, closes at 3353.98
