Sensex sheds 42 points due to speculative selling, 3310.46; FIIs sell Zee, operators buy SatyamPivotals declined further at the Bombay Stock Exchange following speculative selling pressure from foreign institutional investors and speculators today. FIIs reportedly sold large quantity of shares at Zee Telefilms counter while Satyam Computers was the speculators' choice for heavy buying during the course of trading, dealers said. Indian financial institutions too pressed sales at select counters. Reflecting the trend, the 30-scrip BSE Sensex opened at 3380.92, touched the day's high of 3385.20 points, fell to the day's low of 3292.63 points before closing at 3310.46 points, showing a net loss of 42.76 points from the previous close of 3353.22 points. The broad-based BSE-100 index eased by 21.05 points to 1475.13 points from the previous close of 1496.18 points. The BSE-200 and Dollex indices also dropped by 2.52 and 1.38 points to 341.38 and 133.77 points as against the previous close of 344.90 and 135.11 points respectively. UNI
