IT dept raids real estate sharks in Bombay

After yesterday's operation against the onion and potato commission agents, the income tax department today carried out raids on the offices and residential premises of some real estate brokers and real estate finance agents at Bandra and Andheri, two suburbs northwest of Bombay.

It was a comparatively small operation and the details of these raids were still awaited as investigations were in progress, the sources said.
