Malaysia offers to help Andhra Pradesh set up a construction boardMalaysia has offered to help Andhra Pradesh set up a construction board similar to its Construction Industry Development Board. Malaysian Works Minister Samy Vellu said this would help the booming construction industry in the state develop technology and set high standards. The agreement was made after he received a 28-member delegation from the Andhra Pradesh Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation Limited, which arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday for a three-day visit, the national news agency Bernama said. The delegation, headed by Andhra Pradesh Industry Secretary Sheela Bhide, said the state was also interested in collaborating with Malaysia in information technology. Malaysian companies are now involved in nine projects in Andhra Pradesh, mostly in road construction, which includes a $ 100 million project in Hyderabad. UNI
