Thermax ties up with AlliedSignal to market power systems

Thermax Limited, engaged in energy and environmental engineering, today signed an agreement with AlliedSignal Power Systems of the USA (subsidiary of the $ 14.5 billion US-based AlliedSignal Inc) to market its microturbine-based power systems in India.

The system, small-scale power source, is a compact, economical, gas, kerosene or light oil fuelled machine, designed to operate on continuous basis, and generate 75 KW or more, of power.

The marketing agreement, which was signed by Thermax's managing director Abhay Nalawade and APS president and chief executive officer Tony Prophet, allows Thermax exclusive rights to market and service these power systems in the Indian market, but not to make direct sales to the government sector.

Commenting on the partnership agreement, Prophet said, ''India represents one of the top three markets for Turbogenerator business worldwide, and we are happy to have been able to work out this partnership with Thermax.''
