Govinda faces criminal chargesSocial activist Mohammed Patel filed a criminal complaint against actor Govinda on Wednesday. Actress Mita Vashisht, ad film-maker Prahlad Kakkar and Pepsico India, manufacturers of Mirinda, along with Govinda, have been accused of projecting the judiciary obscenely in a television advertisement. The advertisement shows Govinda in court as the accused and the judge (Vashisht) asking him to defend himself. Govinda hands her a Mirinda bottle and says, 'Have a sip, yaar!' adding, 'Zor ka jhatka dheere se lage.' After taking the drink, the judge dances with Govinda on a ship which breaks open a wall of the courtroom, Patel alleged. His counsel Ramesh Pandey urged criminal action against the respondents. The complaint will be heard on July 11. PTI
