Mohabbatein crosses the fifty million markKomal Nahta Let's talk figures. Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein has netted Rs 50 million in Bombay (excluding cinemas which screened the film on fixed hire) in 19 weeks. Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Mission Kashmir, released simultaneously, will cross the thirty-million mark in 20 weeks. To give a comparative idea, Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai had netted Rs 60 million in 60 weeks. Aditya's debut film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which is running in its 216th week at Bombay's Maratha Mandir cinema, has collected a net of Rs 10,30,30,000 in 215 weeks! The net collections of Rajshri's all-time hit, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun was Rs 120 million in three years in Bombay (excluding fixed hire cinemas). Incidentally, Mohabbatein has taken the least number of weeks to cross the fifty-million mark ever.
