"I do not know why my name was not included in the second list. BJP leaders at the Centre are all seasoned politicians and will take the appropriate decision at the appropriate time," Pandya told PTI.

In other developments, supporters of former urban development minister Parmanand Khattar threatened to launch an agitation if he was not renominated while former MLA Gabhaji Thakor resigned from the primary membership of the BJP after being asked to change his constituency.
In the opposition camp, some Congress leaders from Rajkot objected to the candidates being given tickets from Rajkot I (Manoharsinh Jadeja), Rajkot II (Kashmira Nathwani) and Rajkot rural (Shanta Chavda) constituencies.
Reports from Surat said Congress workers have demanded change of the candidate for Surat City (West).
Meanwhile, Bhima Patel, sitting Congress MLA from Deodhar assembly segment in Banaskantha district, has decided to contest the election as independent, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Hasmukh Patel told PTI in Ahmedabad on Wednesday night.
Three senior party leaders have extended support to Patel, he said adding Patel and the three others may be expelled from the party for their anti-party activities.
The Congress has fielded Keshaji Chauhan from Deodhar.
