The Board of Control for Cricket in India is still hopeful of Delhi hosting the sixth and final One-Day International in the one-day series against Pakistan.

"The grounds and pitch committee will inspect the Delhi ground soon, but the match will definitely be held at Delhi," said BCCI president Ranbir Singh Mahendra in Kolkata on Sunday.

The sixth ODI is scheduled to be played at the Ferozshah Kotla on April 17. Pakistan president General Pervez Musharraf is expected to attend the match.

Mahendra also said he will meet Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan later on Sunday to discuss the possibility of India touring Pakistan next year.

The PCB wants India to tour Pakistan early next year, ahead of the Asia Cup.

Pakistan could also host the ICC Champions Trophy next year, after the ICC said it is not possible to hold the event in India unless it receives tax exemption, something the Indian government has not yet considered.
