The West Indian renaissance?
Drafted into the side for the third Test on the strength of a decent 2003 Carib Beer season (25 wickets at 36.40 and 270 runs), Omari Banks plugged away relentlessly. He impressed many with his athleticism and, more importantly, his ability to hold a straight bat to lengthen the tail.
Banks is still very raw, but the with the continued faith of the selectors he could be Hooper's replacement in the squad.
He averaged 59.50 with the bat and claimed six wickets in the series.
