Looking forward

Inatome delivered the plenary session talk at the second and final day of the Comdex seminars here today. He spoke on 'Redefining IT strategy in the age of knowledge'.

Later, in an informal talk with R Vijay Shankar, he revealed some insights, exclusively for the Rediff faithfuls:

How is it possible to enable knowledge sharing in countries like India where the vast millions of people do not have access to IT?
Only as Internet becomes more pervasive, is it possible for this to happen. As cost of information and service come down, there is bound to be better knowledge sharing.

What is the future for the ISP business?
Bandwidth today is a mere commodity and the ISPs will have to go beyond just providing connectivity. They would have to add value through offering more services such as e-commerce, if they have to be profitable. They will have to take the consumer up the 'knowledge scale'.

Are you looking at a collaborative effort in India?
Inacom recently signed up CMS as an affiliate in India to offer support for the systems we build for clients worldwide.
