He finishes 27th overall in men's 100m backstroke heats, fails to qualify for semi-finals.

Best 16 athletes progress to the semifinals.

With that a disastrous day for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 comes to an end. Hopefully there are some medals in store on Monday.
