Boxer Manish Kaushik crashes out

India's Kaushik Manish faces Luke McCormack in the Round of 32 of men's light preliminaries.

Manish starts off defensively, keeping his distance from McCormack. McCormack is trying his best to be on his toes and land a punch, but to no avail. McCormack edges it 3-2 in first round. Manish starts off on the same note but this time the Indian somehow edges it 3-2 in the second round.

Britain's McCormack takes the third round to win the match via 4-1 split decision and book his spot in the last 16 of men's light preliminaries!

Meanwhile in hockey, at the end of the first quarter World No 1 Australia lead 1-0. India did have two penalty corners, but failed to convert.
