Lose to China 1-4 in semis

China beat India 4-1 to win the table tennis mixed doubles semis and enter the final.

India's mixed doubles pair of Achanta Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra will bring home the bronze.


China have a 3-1 lead in the match.

This is a must-win game for India if they have to stay in the match.

And India start slow again but China make a couple of unforced errors and India go level at 3-3.

India take a lead finally and go up 5-3.

Manika's hits a superb forehand and India continue to stay in the lead.

China catch up and go level to 6-6. 

Manika makes another error, returning long and China go in the lead now.

China continue to stay ahead and go up 9-7.

India win the next point on Manika's serve and China then take the time out.

Manika again returns long, it's match point. Wang serves and Manika returns into the net again and India lose.

China win the 4th game 11-8.


China start strong in the fourth game but India have levelled beautifully.

China have raced to a 6-3 lead as India make unforced errors.

Manika and Achanta both returning long as China race to a 6-point lead and China win the 4th game 11-4.
