India's P V Sindhu faces a tough challenge as she is pitted against world No. 2 and London Olympics silver medallist Wang Yihan of China in the women's singles quarter-finals on Day 11 of the Rio Olympic Games.
The 21-year-old Hyderabadi will take a lot of confidence from her comfortable victory in the last match. She had outclassed eighth seed Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying 21-13, 21-15 in 40 minutes in the pre-quarterfinals.
Overall, Sindhu has a 2-4 head-to-head record against Yihan, having beaten her twice -- at the World Badminton Championships in 2013 and last year at the Denmark Open.
