The Supreme Court appointed R M Lodha panel recommended that the  Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals be suspended from the Indian Premier League for two years.

Former Chennai Super Kings official Gurunath Meiyappan suspended for life for betting in IPL 2013: Justice Lodha.

He has been suspended for life from taking part in any cricket related activities.
Meiyappan's conduct affected the image of BCCI, IPL, the players nd others associated with the tournament, added Justice Lodha.

Royals' former co-owner Raj Kundra has also been suspended from cricketing related activities for two years.

'Jaipur IPL team can't shrink responsibility by saying Mr. Kundra acted in personal capacity. Rajasthan's defence is legally unacceptable. The franchises are directly responsible for the actions by their owners', he points out.

'Its true that Mr.Kundra relinquished his shares from Rajasthan Royals in March, but it was too late', he further added.
