St Auburn : I have met President Mandela on a few occasions and the man has an amazing presence. It is hard to believe that a person who was subjected to 27 years imprisonment can be as gracious and forgiving as he is. I dont think I would be as forgiving if I had been in his situation. He truly is amazing. As far as Grame Pollock is concerned I have only met him twice which is a pity.

JONTY, You are so loved in India. How would you like to be SA's political ambassador in India(you already are a wonderful sports ambassador). You will love India.

Cecil : Cricket is played by everyone in SA these days. Black White Indian Coloured English and Afrikaaners. The Afrikaan speaking children have role models in Hansie Cronje and Fanie De Villiers. So they are very keen to follow in their hero's footsteps.

das: I think they have to enjoy their fileding a bit more. They are quite a glamorous team, they probably find fielding a bit boring. If they enjoyed their fielding more, they would have more proide in their performance in the field.

Wannabe_J..: The team have been asked by the captain and the coach to think about the game so that we may learn from our mistakes. There's no need to panic as we have a fine record in one-day cricket. We have won 25 out of 29 games this year. Not Bad!! Obviously we are a bit upset about losing the final after winning all six matches prior to the final. However, we all realise that in one day cricket five overs can swing the match. It is always easy to analyse a match once it is over, so Bob Woolmer will make sure that he does not critise anyone for thei performance as long as the team has given 100% which is what we did.

Jonty , How expensive is it to go to to a One day international in SA?

@Amit : The West Indies are a very effective side in one day and test cricket. They have quite a few stars in their team. So if they get it right on the day they are a hard team to beat.

Sudarshan : Cricket has a large following in SA, and the children really love the game. I dont think they mind if we win or lose as long as they can watch us play.

Anil : Ajay Jadeja and Mohammed Azharuddin as well as Sachin Tendulkar are all fine fielders. Robin Singh also impressive with his fielding. So I dont think that there are any Indian players who are bad fielders.

If you are taking catches that are away from your body, what is more important ? getting your body behing the ball ? your postion of your hands wrt the ball ?

Indii: You must be prepared to be the first one to get to pratice and the last one to leave. Dont forget to enjoy yourself because then it is easier to put in hard work.

Vikram : True. India were the better team on the day. They deserve to win the cup, even though it hurts me to say so.

How come the Afrikaners have taken to cricket in a big way? The team of the 70s was dominated by players born of English stock. The Afrikaners were more keen on rugby, so how come your team is dominated by Afrikaners? When did that change happen?

Sekar: Cricket is a very popular game with the childern of SA, so the passes haveto be priced to allow families to attend the matches. I think they are reasonably priced as the crowd is made up of people from all income brackets.
