Nandini: I am eager to answer your questions. I have great respect for Advaniji as an individual and as a politician. But neither I nor the UF can share his Hindutva ideology which he masquerades as cultural nationalism. We will not take support from him whatever be his pretensions or protestations. In politics everybody plays for power. But there is also that inescapable element of ideology which distinguishes politics from all other walks of life. ANSWER TO YOUR SECOND QUESTION: You seem to doubt the fidelity of our partners. Contrary to gloomy predictions the UF has remained united like a rock which is proving worrisome both for the Congress and BJP. I trust that you are not worried about our unity.

Even I in the heaven haven't been able to figure this out: what are you guys going to do in Parliament tommorrow? Go bravely shouting down?

Mr. Reddy, Do you think if elections are held, Congress will be wiped out as our home minister said?

I supported the Janata Party and thought much of V P Singh. But it is amazing that it even came to make an arrangement with such a sleazy specimen like the Congress. Couldn't you have gone it alone? Or was power more important?

Mr reddy, How do u think you will face the vote of confidence after the talk failue is there a way for u to win it?

Is Mr. Gowda worth saving or is this a question of ego?

Mr. Reddy, I read Deccan Chronicle that Mr. Babu may support BJP to form Govt. Is there any such possibility?

IF THERE IS A MID-TERM POLL, HOW DO YOU RATE THE CHANCES OF BJP AND CONGRESS? WILL THE SAFFRON BRIGADE GET AS MANY SEATS AS THEY GOT? WILL THE CONGRESS?

Mr. Reddy, Do you think a conscience vote can save you ? Should the Congress choose not to issue a whip do you have a chance ?( I know it's not possible, just curious to hear your reaction as to whether you think the MP's are standing by Kesri or not)

Also I believe that a mid term poll will yield almost identical results as the Lok Sabha stands right now. Spare the country expense please, it is a phenomenal waste of money

Mr. Reddy, all of you except our home minister and speaker supported the move to give immunity to MPs from crimes committed by them. So when you are all united on that issue, why not on issues actually good for the nation?

Aakash: We do not think India can afford another election just in ten months. A new election can no doubt teach a lesson to the Congress party. But the country will have to pay a heavy price in terms of not only expenditure but also in terms of economic dislocation and administrative diversion. Apart from that a new election is not going to throw up a decisive Lok Sabha. A compromise will be necessary even after the poll. If that is so, why not compromise before the poll? LL JAMES: It is not correct to assume that Mr Kesri despises Mr Gowda. Mr Kesri loves the office of prime minister. It is not a clash of temperament. It is a question of ambition. Mr Gowda was no doubt deferential to Mr Rao when Mr Rao was the former leader of the Congress party. Mr Gowda tried to pay a similar obesiance to Mr Kesri as well. Mr Kesri prefers office to obesiance.

Mr.Reddy ,Instead of taking the support from corrupt congress it is better is seek BJP's help for survival of UF Government.We are fed up of Corrupt Congress. what is your opinion?

If the BJP decides to support the UF govt. tommorow, will you accept its support?

Mr. Reddy, you say India can't afford another election. Do you mean to say that all that money would otherwise be used for the development of our country? WOW!!!!

Mr. Reddy, I am from North Carolina, USA. Please clarify my dbout. If the BJP decides to support the motion tomorrow only to push thru the budget and the Finance Bill, in the interest of the poeple, they will score a political point. In this situation, will you accept their support?

Mr. Reddy you did not answer my question? But anyway what are the achievements of UF except two ministers Chidambaram and I.K.Gujral and to some extent honesty of Indrajit Gupta? 99% of your time was spent on manouevers to keep BJP out, saving Lallo Prasad Yadav's skin at the same time vendetta on Congressmen. I think you donot have any right to continue in office if these are your achievements.

Will the budget be passed?

Mr. Reddy, don't you think that at least BJP is sincere and honest? They didn't indulge in horsetrading during their 13 day stay.

How long will the next govt last

Mr. Reddy, what is your prediction for political situation at the Center for next 12 months? I would like you to put forth a most likley scenario and not the most desirable one from your standpoint. Thank you.

I believe post election alliances should not be recognised only pre-election alliances should. Post election alliances are a violation of the peoples mandate. It encourages power brokering. Situations such as the present crisis can be avoided. Your comments Sir ..

Ravi: If the PM of a country with nearly a billion people is changed without a reason or rhyme. both the country and the office of PM will suffer loss of prestige. If a reasonable case about the undesirability of Mr Gowda in terms of corruption or misconduct is made out such a demand could have been considered sensible. Mr Kesri and his cohorts have not been able to say anything substantive against Mr Gowda. During Mr Gowda's period, economic policy decisions included in the Budgets were widely welcomed. Foreign policy initiatives such as the Ganges water treaty with Bangladesh and the Mahakali treaty with Nepal have been applauded all over the world. It is therefore clear, he has done remarkably well in his brief period, in spite of being a minority PM. It is in fact his good performance which is one of the causes that scared the Congress party into withdrawing support.

Are U confident of saving the Deva Gowda Govt?

Mr. Reddy, All of you were against Article 356 imposing President's rule. But supported that in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh to keep BJP out. You said politics is about principles. What principles you were preaching for not giving goahead for CBI on Ayurveda scam in UP and Fodder scam in Bihar? Please admit that you donot have any principles except caste based votebanks and divisions of India for electrol gains.

Prasad and Bhumil: Our ideological difference with the BJP are unbridgeable. Therefore, we cannot take their support. If they want to avoid election, they may do something in their own interest. But we will have no formal or informal link with the BJP at all. Ideologically, the Congress is preferable to the BJP, though corruption is rampant in the Congress. In case our government survives because of the decision of the BJP to abstain, we will not be obliged to BJP in any way. There is no love lost between us and the BJP. If the BJP takes the unlikely decision of abstaining, it will do so in its own interest and not to help us.

Mr. Reddy, I understand your position.... You have a stream of questions to answer. Please give atleast a short answer YES/NO to my question.

Mr Reddy, why did the Front leaders not take care to ensure that the prime minister did not embark on a Hassan-like vengeance trail? Can you deny that the PM launched the CBI on Kesri's trail? Why did no UF leader yank him back?

Why is G K Moopanar not an acceptable candidate to replace Deve Gowda?

Reddy garu -- On a personal note -- Wht haven't you involved yourself more actively with Andhra politics ?

Urgent: Even if the BJP supports the Budget for tactical reasons, they will not be able to score any political points. The credit for the Budget will go entirely to the UF. MANJUNATH PRABHU: None of the three major formations in India is against Article 356. They are only against its misuse. The fact that Mayawati became the CM of UP when she got support from the BJP shows Article 356 was rightly invoked in the first place and rightly revoked in the second place. As for Gujarat, the majority that Mr Vaghela demonstrated in the assembly proves that a short spell of President's rule in Gujarat was unavoidable. As far as your comment on a caste-based vote bank is concerned, I need to point out that we have always had upper caste vote banks in the past. Since I and perhaps you belong to the upper castes the shoe is pinching as the lower castes are organising themselves into vote banks. This is a legitimate and unavoidable part of the political process. As for the fodder scam and Ayurved scam, the guilty will surely be prosecuted, irrespective of the party and the caste they belong to. You may kindly note the investigations into these two scams are being directly monitored by the superior courts. You therefore need not have any fears on this score.

You have been careful not to post a response to the likely scenario tomorrow. Does that mean you are still hopeful of a solution?

Mr. Reddy: "You wrote to Bhumil that you will not accept support from BJP because of ideological gap". Yeah, You have no ideology other than clinging on to power and BJP should be foolish to give you any support. They have at least a Nationalistic ideology. You call it "communalist ideology", eventhough by definition Hinduism is a noncommunal way of life--we have millions of gods as well. Will you be thoughtful enough to stop raising a bogus issue of "Communalistic Philosophy of BJP?"

Why is G K Moopanar not an acceptable candidate to replace Deve Gowda? Portray it in the national interest and make Mr Deve Gowda the President so that the nation does not suffer another election?
