Market@January 24: Day's reportThe overall sentiment improved further on Wednesday. Software stocks showed a mixed trend. Pentamedia gained 4 per cent. Wipro attracted strong buying in the last 30 minutes and closed at the day's high. Satyam and DSQ Software also showed a firm close. In the non-software segment, cement stocks remained in the limelight. ACC, Grasim, L&T, Century and India Cements gained smartly. L&T managed to record an all-time high volume of 7.9 million shares on BSE. MTNL also gained more than 7 per cent. The sentiment for other counters also remained positive. Sensex up 29 points at 4326. Nifty up 12 points at 1367.
