Market@April 12: Day's reportThe bloodbath continued for the second consecutive day. Zee Tele, Satyam, SSI, Himachal and HCL Tech lost 16 per cent each. Infosys, Global Tele and NIIT lost over 12 per cent each. The performance of other IT counters was quite bad. Old economy counters also witnessed selling pressure. Reliance, Reliance Petro, Ranbaxy and Tisco were major losers. Cement counters however managed to attract buying interest, and showed smart recovery from their lows. The overall trading volume was relatively high, and the Sensex touched a 26-month low. Sensex lost 141 points at 3184. Nifty was down 41 points at 1026. BSE Sensex
