'It has not done any thing special to push the economy'
It is a pragmatic Budget. Keeping the views and limitations, he could not have done anything better. Negative points: Increase in the tax on dividends, exports, corporate personal tax. On the face of it, it sounds a good Budget for the tyre industry. But one will have to see the fine print. Summary of the Budget: It has not done any thing special to push the economy. One does not see any clear signs whether significant investment will be attracted for infrastructure which is the need of the hour. Onkar Singh Kanwar is vice-chairman and managing director, Apollo Tyres
